One of the core values of Triveni is to contribute for betterment of society. Triveni
engages in multiple activities through which we try to work towards improving situations
of people who need help.
It’s heartwarming to see that our community members also think along similar lines and
have come up with their own ways of contributing to Triveni through their donations. The
culture of ‘Giving’ is expanding in Triveni.
We are glad to appreciate some of our members for their donations.

Trupti has volunteered with ‘Mathew 25, Child’s Hope International’ in
Sharonville and ‘Shoes 4 the Shoeless Inc’ through Anthem

One of the wonderful aspects of working for big corporations is that many of them have Giveback programs. These programs often include matching contributions made by employees, doubling the impact of your donation.
Shradha has contributed to Triveni Mitra Mandal and other charitable organizations regularly. Most corporate giving programs require the organization to be a non-profit registered in the USA, without any political or religious affiliations.
Shradha works at Liberty Mutual and they use the Benevity Causes Portal, which makes it easier for charities to receive funds, and allows employees to contribute directly from their payroll. She worked with Triveni Executive Committee to complete the process to register TMM in the Benevity portal. All organizations who leverage the Benevity Cause Portal to provide matching funds, now can use it. She has used it successfully to get 1:1 matching fund for Rachana initiative that Triveni Mitra Mandal is driving.
Leveraging your employer’s matching fund is a fantastic way to double your
contributions. In some cases, it is also possible to get a 1:2 matching during certain
periods of the year.
So next time you open your cheque book to donate, don't forget to check if your
employer offers a matching program. It's a simple step that can significantly amplify the
good you do.

This weekend, I heard a very unique complaint from my sister-in-law. She is a practicing physician in Mumbai, a nature lover, avid hiker and a very down-to-earth person - a very rare combination!
Her complaint - we are getting too many Mithai boxes during the Ganapati festival. She was very quick to add that people do this very lovingly however, next year onward, she’s going to make a polite request to not bring mithai.
This Ganapati you may have noticed at a few houses, some had boxes for charitable
donations. This is a really big change from past norms. A societal change brought in by
community leaders.
The Indian community has done extremely well in the US and it is time to give back.
Simple. As a community I think it is fair to say that we are a bit slow on this front
however, I also know there are many exceptions to this. Would you like to be one of
those?. It does not matter which charity you choose but helping the needy is a good
cause. Your time, effort or money all helps.
A lot has been said about Rachana however, all I will add is Triveni committee members
have visited their facility in Pune and have done the due diligence about the
organization. This was enough for me to get started on my little journey.
Donations to Rachana can be made by visiting Triveni website here: https://www.triveni-
