2006 Ballot Results
by Triveni Mitra Mandal Executive Committee 2006

Dear Members,
This year we conducted a vote on certain issues that seem to dominate talk about Triveni in our community during Diwali
Here are the results of the poll which were tabulated by an independent non-affliiated person:
ISSUE 1: Pre-pay with RSVP
Issue 1 A : 26-12 (68%-32%) Majority AGREES to pre-pay with RSVP
Issue 1
B: 8-29 ( 22%- 78%) Majority DISAGREES with 0% refund for cancellation
Issue 1
C: 18-19 (49%- 51%) Majority narrowly DISAGREES with 50% refund with cancellation
Summary of ISSUE 1 results:
Majority voters agree with prepayment of fees with RSVP but disagree that there should
be no refund or a 50% refund upon cancellation of the RSVP.
ISSUE 2: Amendment to Article III of the Triveni Mitra Mandal Constitution to include donations to be made to foreign based organizations (non-profit)
Issue 2: 17-20 (46%-54%) Majority DISAGREES to amend Article III
Summary of ISSUE 2 result:
Majority voters disagree to amend Article III of the Triveni Mitra Mandal Constitution to include donations to be made to foreign based organizations.
ISSUE 3: Ganapati Celebration
Issue 3A: 29- 6 (83%-17%) Majority AGREES that Triveni Mitra Mandal should be in total charge of its own Ganapati celebration.
Issue 3B: 18-20 (47%-53%) Majority DISAGREES that Triveni Mitra Mandal should be in charge with the temple event.
Issue 3C: 22-13 (63%-37%) Majority AGREES that the Temple Ganapati should be planned by the Temple committee with voluntary help from individual Maharashtrians, not Triveni Mitra Mandal committee.
Issue 3D: 23-12 (66%-34%) Majority AGREES Triveni Mitra Mandal committee of the year should decide details during its tenure.
Summary of ISSUE 3 results:
Majority agrees Triveni should plan Ganapati celebration including location and the current committee of the year should be in total charge of all the details.
Temple committee should plan their own celebration seeking help on their own from individual volunteers.
