This young achiever holds many accolades at such a young age, that it signals the idea that many more greater achievements are yet to come from him.
Aditya Joshi, son of Narendra and Shubhada Joshi (who has been a past president of Triveni), made local news, as he was one of the few students in the nation to score perfect on the new SATs, and this while he was still a junior in high school (For video of his interview on WKRC-TV, please click here).
Not only has he gained recognition locally, but nationally as well, as the daily publication, USA Today honored him as a USA Today High School Academic All-Star Second Team Member. He has also been invited by the U.S. Department of Education to be a candidate for the 2006 Presidential Scholars Program.
Other scholastic achievements include scholarships from numerous organizations, top placing in academic competitions, and the honor of being Valedictorian of Princeton High School Class in 2006.
Aditya, who is very fond of science and mathematics, has already started contributing to those fields. In the Siemens Westinghouse Science and Math Competition, he helped develop a method to anticipate seizures by using changes in statistical correlation of frequency components of EEG.
In the Intel Science Talent Search Competition, Aditya developed a concept of utilizing optically active materials to construct a logic circuit that utilizes photons (instead of electrons). This device could become a precursor of totally optically driven computers. This project is currently patent pending!
Despite being busy with his scholastic accomplishments, Aditya also has had time to be on his high school's tennis team, be in the school band, get a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, be a voice actor, and be news reader/sound engineer at a local radio station.
From this fall, Aditya will be heading up to Cambridge, Massachusetts at MIT for his first year in college.
We here at Triveni Mitra Mandal would like to wish one of our local sons, Aditya Joshi, in his future endeavors and have a successful career in whatever he chooses to do.
