Dr. Milind A. Jog, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering
at the University of Cincinnati was awarded the 2004 Outstanding
Investigator Award by Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research
Society, UC Chapter.
Dr. Jog was cited for his work in the areas of liquid sprays
and heat transfer. Founded in 1886, Sigma Xi, is a non-profit
membership society of more than 70,000 scientists and engineers
who were elected to the Society because of their research achievements.
Dr. Jog came to the University of Cincinnati in 1993 after receiving
his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics
from the University of Pennsylvania. Since coming to Cincinnati,
he has
received a CAREER Award and a Research Initiative Award from the National Science
Foundation, a Faculty Achievement award from UC, a College Research Award for
Young Faculty and Robert Hundley Award for excellence in teaching. He has authored
seventy-six refereed publications and is the recipient of fifteen external
research grants.
