To be a good musician or a doctor in the a field of medicine would be an enormous accomplishment for anyone. To be both would indicate great dedication. One such talented individual is Dr. Ajay Ponkshe.
A trained musician in Hindustani classical music, Dr. Ajay was one of the three participants selected to represent the USA out of a pool of over a 1000 applicants in the global golden voice contest held in Dubai. This contest was organized by Zee Telefilms for their musical show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Aspirants from across the world got the opportunity to showcase their talent , strike gold with their golden voices and sing their way to stardom! Dr. Ajay did an excellent job at the semi-finals and proved that he has an excellent command over the art. He was very well appreciated by industry leaders like Shaan, MM Kreem and Jagjit Singh.
Dr. Ajay has a keen interest in music from a very early age and began formal training in Hindustani Classical music at the age of 6. Besides being a superb musician, Dr. Ponkshe is also a pediatrician by profession. Inspite of being a busy professional, he always makes time for music.
Dr. Ajay Ponkshe recently relocated to Cincinnati from St. Louis and currently lives in Westchester with his wife Sunayna, and children Karishma and Kunal.
